"My name is Jesus Baby," says me.
Benefits and characteristics of a Christian is as follows 👇:
(1) Overcomer: I am an Overcomer because God is my avenger. "Vengeance is mine," says the Lord. He will come in plenty to rescue me always. "One with God is majority."
According to Malachi 4: 1-6
THE LORD ALMIGHTY SAYS, "THE DAY IS COMING WHEN ALL PROUD AND EVIL PEOPLE WILL BURN LIKE STRAW. ON THAT DAY THEY WILL BURN UP, AND THERE WILL BE NOTHING LEFT OF THEM. BUT FOR YOU WHO OBEY ME, MY SAVING POWER WILL RISE ON YOU LIKE THE SUN AND BRING HEALING LIKE THE SUN'S RAYS. YOU WILL BE AS FREE AND HAPPY AS CALVES LET OUT OF A STALL. ON THE DAY WHEN I ACT, YOU WILL OVERCOME THE WICKED, AND THEY WILL BE LIKE DUST UNDER YOUR FEET. "REMEMBER THE TEACHINGS OF MY SERVANT MOSES, THE LAWS AND COMMANDS WHICH I GAVE HIM AT MOUNT SINAI FOR ALL THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL TO OBEY. "BUT BEFORE THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD COMES, I WILL SEND YOU THE PROPHET ELIJAH. HE WILL BRING FATHERS AND CHILDREN TOGETHER AGAIN; OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE TO COME AND DESTROY YOUR COUNTRY."
(2) Dedication to God: God calls us to honor and serve only Him as our only God and do not let the problems, troubles and worries choke up the promises He has made to His faithful people. Everyone who has idols that they worship as if they were god must put all of them aside, that is, throw them away and face only God Almighty as our only God. And other people/nations will also ask and receive the blessings of God; and praise the name of God because of the Honor you have given to God Almighty. God calls us to dedicate our whole lives to Him.
According to Jeremiah 4: 1-4
THE LORD SAYS, "PEOPLE OF ISRAEL, IF YOU WANT TO TURN, THEN TURN BACK TO ME. IF YOU ARE FAITHFUL TO ME AND REMOVE THE IDOLS I HATE, IT WILL BE RIGHT FOR YOU TO SWEAR BY MY NAME. THEN ALL THE NATIONS WILL ASK ME TO BLESS THEM, AND THEY WILL PRAISE ME." THE LORD SAYS TO THE PEOPLE OF JUDAH AND JERUSALEM, "PLOUGH UP YOUR UNPLOUGHED FIELDS; DO NOT SOW YOUR SEEDS AMONG THORNS. KEEP YOUR COVENANT WITH ME, YOUR LORD, AND DEDICATE YOURSELVES TO ME, YOU PEOPLE OF JUDAH AND JERUSALEM. IF YOU DON'T, MY ANGER WILL BURN LIKE FIRE BECAUSE OF THE EVIL THINGS YOU HAVE DONE. IT WILL BURN, AND THERE WILL BE NO ONE TO PUT IT OUT."
(3) Unique: We, as Christians, do not depend on the Laws to be put right with God because we have all died in Christ Jesus, thus, our ways are now the ways of the Spirit of God as we belong to Jesus Christ (God, the Son). This same Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) that was sent to the apostles/disciples on the day of the Pentecost for them to do the work of our Lord Jesus Christ (God, the Son) in truth and in Spirit. Thus, we have become useful (and not useless) in the service/work of God. The wages of sin is death.
NOTE THAT:
(A) One who dies in Christ Jesus is dead to sin (Sin knows Him not).
(B) One who dies in sin is dead to Christ Jesus (Jesus Christ knows him not).
(C) Behold, old things have passed away and all things have become new here. As an existing believer in God Almighty:
(I) The old things is serving God in the old way of a written Law
(II) The new things is serving God in the new way of the Spirit of the Most High God.
According to Romans 7: 1-6
'CERTAINLY YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY, MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, BECAUSE ALL OF YOU KNOW ABOUT THE LAW. THE LAW RULES OVER PEOPLE ONLY AS LONG AS THEY LIVE. A MARRIED WOMAN, FOR EXAMPLE, IS BOUND BY THE LAW TO HER HUSBAND AS LONG AS HE LIVES; BUT IF HE DIES, THEN SHE IS FREE FROM THE LAW THAT BOUND HER TO HIM. SO THEN, IF SHE LIVES WITH ANOTHER MAN WHILE HER HUSBAND IS ALIVE, SHE WILL BE CALLED AN ADULTERESS; BUT IF HER HUSBAND DIES, SHE IS LEGALLY A FREE WOMAN AND DOES NOT COMMIT ADULTERY IF SHE MARRIES ANOTHER MAN. THAT IS HOW IT IS WITH YOU, MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS. AS FAR AS THE LAW IS CONCERNED, YOU ALSO HAVE DIED BECAUSE YOU ARE PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST; AND NOW YOU BELONG TO HIM WHO WAS RAISED FROM DEATH IN ORDER THAT WE MIGHT BE USEFUL IN THE SERVICE OF GOD. FOR WHEN WE LIVED ACCORDING TO OUR HUMAN NATURE, THE SINFUL DESIRES STIRRED UP BY THE LAW WERE AT WORK IN OUR BODIES, AND ALL WE DID ENDED IN DEATH. NOW, HOWEVER, WE ARE FREE FROM THE LAW, BECAUSE WE DIED TO THAT WHICH ONCE HELD US PRISONERS. NO LONGER DO WE SERVE IN THE OLD WAY OF A WRITTEN LAW, BUT IN THE NEW WAY OF SPIRIT.
(4) Accessibility: All those without hope and without God before can now have access and live right with the believers of God (Christians) through the Corner Stone called Jesus Christ, our Lord (God, the Son) since they are now members of the family/household of God.
NOTE THAT:
(A) Jesus Christ brings peace by joining people of different races as one people in His wonderful Name. All they need do is to believe in the Blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Holy cross of Calvary whether they are Jewish or not.
(B) Jesus Christ is the one that preaches peace and thus, brings both those who were not close to God before and those who are already close to God together as fellow citizens of the Kingdom of God and members of the family/household of God. Thus, making us one body and helps us to be a sacred temple dedicated to the Lord where God lives through the Spirit.
According to Ephesians 2: 11-22
'YOU GENTILES BY BIRTH - CALLED "THE UNCIRCUMCISED" BY THE JEWS, WHO CALL THEMSELVES "THE CIRCUMCISED" (WHICH REFERS TO WHAT MEN DO TO THEIR BODY) - REMEMBER WHAT YOU WERE IN THE PAST. AT THAT TIME YOU WERE APART FROM CHRIST. YOU WERE FOREIGNERS AND DID NOT BELONG TO GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE. YOU HAD NO PART IN THE COVENANTS, WHICH WERE BASED ON GOD'S PROMISES TO HIS PEOPLE. YOU LIVED IN THIS WORLD WITHOUT HOPE AND WITHOUT GOD. BUT NOW, IN UNION WITH CHRIST JESUS, YOU WHO USED TO BE FAR AWAY HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. FOR CHRIST HIMSELF HAS BROUGHT US PEACE BY MAKING JEWS AND GENTILES ONE PEOPLE. WITH HIS OWN BODY HE BROKE DOWN THE WALL THAT SEPARATED THEM AND KEPT THEM ENEMIES. HE ABOLISHED THE JEWISH LAW WITH ITS COMMANDMENTS AND RULES, IN ORDER TO CREATE OUT OF THE TWO RACES ONE NEW PEOPLE IN UNION WITH HIMSELF, IN THIS WAY MAKING PEACE. BY HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS CHRIST DESTROYED THEIR ENMITY; BY MEANS OF THE CROSS HE UNITED BOTH RACES INTO ONE BODY AND BROUGHT THEM BACK TO GOD. SO CHRIST CAME AND PREACHED THE GOOD NEWS OF PEACE TO ALL - TO YOU GENTILES, WHO WERE FAR AWAY FROM GOD, AND TO THE JEWS, WHO WERE NEAR TO HIM. IT IS THROUGH CHRIST THAT ALL OF US, JEWS AND GENTILES, ARE ABLE TO COME IN THE ONE SPIRIT INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE FATHER. SO THEN, YOU GENTILES ARE NOT FOREIGNERS OR STRANGERS ANY LONGER; YOU ARE NOW FELLOW-CITIZENS WITH GOD'S PEOPLE AND MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY OF GOD. YOU, TOO, ARE BUILT UPON THE FOUNDATION LAID BY THE APOSTLES AND THE PROPHETS, THE CORNER STONE BEING CHRIST JESUS HIMSELF. HE IS THE ONE WHO HOLDS THE WHOLE BUILDING TOGETHER AND MAKES IT GROW INTO A SACRED TEMPLE DEDICATED TO THE LORD. IN UNION WITH HIM YOU TOO ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER WITH ALL THE OTHERS INTO A PLACE WHERE GOD LIVES THROUGH THE SPIRIT.'
(5) Strengthened: We are strengthened by God and encouraged in the Holy Bible to earn a living and not just spend all our time and lives meddling in other people's business. This counseling is meant to always continue from one believer (Christian) to another believer (Christian) as friends/brothers/sisters in Christ Jesus Christ and not as enemies. The obedience of the instructions that comes from the Spirit of God is very important in our day-to-day lives. Paul says to all children of God (Christians), 'Do as I say" and "Do as I do."
According to 2 Thessalonians 3: 6-18
'OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WE COMMAND YOU IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO KEEP AWAY FROM ALL BELIEVERS WHO ARE LIVING A LAZY LIFE AND WHO DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT WE GAVE THEM. YOU YOURSELVES KNOW VERY WELL THAT YOU SHOULD DO JUST WHAT WE DID. WE WERE NOT LAZY WHEN WE WERE WITH YOU. WE DID NOT ACCEPT ANYONE'S SUPPORT WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT. INSTEAD, WE WORKED AND TOILED; WE KEPT WORKING DAY AND NIGHT SO AS NOT TO BE AN EXPENSE TO ANY OF YOU. WE DID THIS, NOT BECAUSE WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO DEMAND OUR SUPPORT; WE DID IT TO BE AN EXAMPLE FOR YOU TO FOLLOW. WHILE WE WERE WITH YOU, WE USED TO SAY TO YOU, "WHOEVER REFUSES TO WORK IS NOT ALLOWED TO EAT." WE SAY THIS BECAUSE WE HEAR THAT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE AMONG YOU WHO LIVE LAZY LIVES AND WHO DO NOTHING EXCEPT MEDDLE IN OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS. IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WE COMMAND THESE PEOPLE AND WARN THEM TO LEAD ORDERLY LIVES AND WORK TO EARN THEIR OWN LIVING. BUT YOU, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, MUST NOT GET TIRED OF DOING GOOD. IT MAY BE THAT SOMEONE THERE WILL NOT OBEY THE MESSAGE WE SEND YOU IN THIS LETTER. IF SO, TAKE NOTE OF THAT PERSON AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM OR HER, SO THAT THEY WILL BE ASHAMED. BUT DO NOT TREAT THEM AS AN ENEMY; INSTEAD, WARN THEM AS A FELLOW-BELIEVER. MAY THE LORD HIMSELF, WHO IS OUR SOURCE OF PEACE, GIVE YOU PEACE AT ALL TIMES AND IN EVERY WAY. THE LORD BE WITH YOU ALL. WITH MY OWN HAND I WRITE THIS: GREETINGS FROM PAUL. THIS IS THE WAY I SIGN EVERY LETTER; THIS IS HOW I WRITE. MAY THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOU ALL.'
(6) Protection: Christians are well protected by God even in their trying moments. For Instance, Jesus Christ (God, the Son) could even send a hidden whistle blower to warn you and, effectively protect you by providing information to the governing/high authorities even if your enemies are very plenty. "One with God is majority." Jesus Christ tells us that the service/work of God must continue from one country to another no matter what. Spread the Good news. God is good. God is Love!
Note that:
(A) Paul was instructed by Jesus Christ to go and preach Christianity (spreading of the Good News) in Rome, just like he did in Jerusalem. And this instruction was given to him in his turbulent moment.
(B) God's plan for His people is the best no matter what the devil and his evil agents has planned or is about to plan.
(C) Jesus Christ blesses His own people (Christians) with peace of mind even in the worst of kind of trials and tribulations.
(D) In the evil plans of the wicked enemies of God's own people, they sign their own death warrants by themselves. Take this Bible passage below for instance, More than 40 (forty) Jewish enemies of Paul (thus, enemies of Jesus Christ too) took an oath to not eat or drink till they kill Paul. Apparently, these people must have died of starvation because God made sure of it by providing Paul with a whistle blower.
(E) In the Bible passage below, the chief priests were the evil high/governing authority (Jewish Authorities) while the Commander Claudius Lysias was the good governing/high authority that identified Paul as a innocent prisoner and wrote a letter in favor of him to Governor Felix by God's Heavenly Grace.
According to Acts 23: 10-22
'THE ARGUMENT BECAME SO VIOLENT THAT THE COMMANDER WAS AFRAID THAT PAUL WOULD BE TORN TO PIECES. SO HE ORDERED HIS SOLDIERS TO GO DOWN INTO THE GROUP, GET PAUL AWAY FROM THEM, AND TAKE HIM INTO THE FORT. THAT NIGHT THE LORD STOOD BY PAUL AND SAID, "DON'T BE AFRAID! YOU HAVE GIVEN YOUR WITNESS FOR ME HERE IN JERUSALEM, AND YOU MUST ALSO DO THE SAME IN ROME." THE NEXT MORNING SOME JEWS MET TOGETHER AND MADE A PLAN. THEY TOOK A VOW THAT THEY WOULD NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING UNTIL THEY HAD KILLED PAUL. THERE WERE MORE THAN 40 WHO PLANNED THIS TOGETHER. THEN THEY WENT TO THE CHIEF PRIESTS AND ELDERS AND SAID, "WE HAVE TAKEN A SOLEMN VOW TOGETHER NOT TO EAT A THING UNTIL WE HAVE KILLED PAUL. NOW THEN, YOU AND THE COUNCIL SEND WORD TO THE ROMAN COMMANDER TO BRING PAUL DOWN TO YOU, PRETENDING THAT YOU WANT TO GET MORE ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT HIM. BUT WE WILL BE READY TO KILL HIM BEFORE HE EVER GETS HERE." BUT THE SON OF PAUL'S SISTER HEARD ABOUT THE PLOT; SO HE WENT TO THE FORT AND TOLD PAUL. THEN PAUL CALLED ONE OF THE OFFICERS AND SAID TO HIM, "TAKE THIS YOUNG MAN TO THE COMMANDER; HE HAS SOMETHING TO TELL HIM." THE OFFICER TOOK HIM, LED HIM TO THE COMMANDER, AND SAID, "THE PRISONER PAUL CALLED ME AND ASKED ME TO BRING THIS YOUNG MAN TO YOU, BECAUSE HE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY TO YOU." THE COMMANDER TOOK HIM BY THE HAND, LED HIM OFF BY HIMSELF, AND ASKED HIM, "WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO TELL ME?" HE SAID, "THE JEWISH AUTHORITIES HAVE AGREED TO ASK YOU TOMORROW TO TAKE PAUL DOWN TO THE COUNCIL, PRETENDING THAT THE COUNCIL WANTS TO GET MORE ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT HIM. BUT DON'T LISTEN TO THEM, BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE THAN FORTY MEN WHO WILL BE HIDING AND WAITING FOR HIM. THEY HAVE TAKEN A VOW NOT TO EAT OR DRINK UNTIL THEY HAVE KILLED HIM. THEY ARE NOW READY TO DO IT AND ARE WAITING FOR YOUR DECISION. "THE COMMANDER SAID, "DON'T TELL ANYONE THAT YOU HAVE REPORTED THIS TO ME." AND HE SENT THE YOUNG MAN AWAY.'
